Before updating, please check your camera's current firmware
revision number. Turn on the camera while holding down the Flash
button.
The firmware number is the third item from the top. If your
firmware version number is 2.01.10, you might need to install this
updated version of firmware.

This is an automatic firmware updater which requires the camera be
set to Digital Camera mode in the USB setup menu and the HP Image
Zone software be installed on your Windows PC. A memory card is not
required to run the automatic firmware update software.
If do not have the HP Image Zone software loaded, and would
prefer not to load it, you should instead download the manual
firmware update, col9314.exe. However, it is important to note that
an SD memory card is REQUIRED for the manual firmware update
This update will resolve an error when trying to unload photos from
the HP Photosmart R507 series of digital cameras using the HP
software camera unloader utility.
The error seen is either an unregistered .NET assembly or as an
unexpected internal error.
Once the file below is downloaded, double-click on the file, and
it will create a c: empRx07 folder on your hard drive. Once the
update is installed, you can safely delete the folder it
creates.
