DESCRIPTION
This SoftPaq contains the CPQFlash utility and a binary image of the System ROM for the notebook models listed below with a 68P4C Family ROM. The CPQFlash utility is used to locally flash the System ROM on PCs through a Windows environment. The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information
ENHANCEMENTS
- Updates new PXE boot agent 4.1.09
- Supports new 32-byte serial number format
- Adds support for all Intel D1 stepping processors
FIXES
- Fixes issue where L1 cache showed only 16kb instead of 20kb in F10 Setup
IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE
HOW TO USE
1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above
2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions
3. After the system has been shutdown, you may delete all temporary files and the SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1.
