DEC 21050 bridge chip - PCI 2.0 systems only
This is the BIOS Hex code (Intel Hex format) for the EPROM based standard AHA-3940 / AHA-3940W boards. Using this file, you may use an EPROM programmer to program a new BIOS chip. This BIOS will only work with standard AHA-3940 and AHA-3940W boards with a previous checksum of " 0A00 " BIOS Version 1.11 or Version 1.12. or checksum 4E00 with Bios Version 1.13 Bios Part Number 916801-00 Rev. B, Rev. C and Rev. D.
Caution: These utilities are designed to update the Retail version of the controllers. They are not designed for motherboard embedded controllers or OEM adapters. Using this utility for OEM adapters, designed-in controller chips, or other Adaptec SCSI host adapters may render those adapters unusable
